BoogerMan's 12k Crossfire build in a 1998 Toyota T100 SR5

Nice. Gonna be epic
Thanks man I hope so!

Got the alt grounds done. Still waiting on my new 16 ton hydraulic crimper so I used my H press instead. It actually worked really well //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Very nice. Make sure you paint or gel all that area you sanded for the ground so it doesn't rust up on you. This is coming out great so far.
Thanks! Yeah I'll definitely spray over it with some black rustoleum. Just waiting to make sure this placement is going to be final.

Got my Plasti Dip Spray System in the other day! The gallon of black should be here Monday so it will be time to blackout the remaining chrome pieces on the truck.

Sanded the primer with 220 then added some body filler and sanded again. A few more coats of primer and some glazing putty before getting sprayed with black.

You can really see the angle of the baffles here. I'm getting really excited!

Added Clippo and the Ohio Gen logo to the alt bracket

Made a better base for the stock fuse box. 13 ply birch with 3 coats of primer and black

Secured the battery rack with some better bolts, removed the yellow base and added a strap over the top. The battery fits much tighter now and isn't going anywhere. Also got it painted with 3 coats of primer and black.

nice work
Thanks!

great progress as always man!
ew to the optima, though lol
Thanks man! lol I'm just using it until I get my Limitless installed. It will be disconnected after the lithium is put in so it doesn't drag down the resting voltage.

Second round of primer done. Glazing putty around the seems next then one last coat of primer then wet sand and black base //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I figured I should probably clean up my engine since I am going to have my hood open at shows.

Those pillars tho...should make a statement. Can't wait for this to be done!!
My Optima redtop finally gave out, after 6 years. Went with Interstate.
That's what we are hoping! Same here lol.

We got a couple more things done this past weekend.

Painted the tailgate hinges black. I'm trying to make it look half as decent as it should sound //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

We made a little more progress on the doors. Just need to cover up the other hole with a panel then we will start playing with some 2 part foam.

Got my under body leds cut to length and ready to be installed next

Decided to take out the 1/4" self tappers and use 5/16" bolts to go all the way through my frame. I feel more comfortable with the bolt in there for the long run. It ended up being a little easier than expected since I was able to use 2 factory holes. Got it sprayed with some rustoleum paint as well.

We got quite a bit done the past two weekends. The box and braces are finally done. I'm extremely happy with the results. We will load it up in the truck next weekend then start working on the interior of the cab. Still a crazy amount left to do!

Prepped and sprayed 3 coats of primer

Put 3 coats of deck waterproofing solution on the bottom and edges of the box.

Did more body filling and sanding

Did some work along the seams. This was really tricky and didn't turn out perfect but looks decent for our first try.

Prepping for the white base was a process. Vacuumed the entire box and then tack clothed all surfaces. Sprayed out the box with compressed air then tack cloth again. Wiped it down with a damp microfiber cloth, let it dry, then tack cloth one last time. It paid off!

Did 1 tack coat and 3 coats of white.

This is after about 2 hours of dry time. It glassed out and might not even need to be polished.

Same prep process done to the inside of the lid of the box. Sprayed it with 1 tack coat and 3 coats of white as well.

Did some final sanding and glazing putty on the braces and then 2 coats of primer. Cleaned them just like the box then did 1 tack coat and 2 coats of black.

You just inspired me to stretch my build out. I usually try to do everything in 2 or 3 days. Now I'm going to take at least a week. In my case 3 weekends..

lol I wish I could knock out a build in a few weekends.

Got the exterior LEDs done. Spent about $50 on Amazon for everything. Used two rolls of the 5050 SMD 300 16 ft strips, one 36A controller, Griver connectors, and some RGB wire.

Here are some install pics. Used liquid electrical tape over the contact strips on the back side since the only thing covering them is the thin adhesive backing. Used CA glue to attach them to my truck since the adhesive backing is crap.

44 key remote has quite a few features. I'm definitely happy for the amount of money spent!

Engine bay. One strip around firewall and one around the fan guard.

Strip on the inside of the front bumper to help light up the lower and upper grill area.

Sealed up all seams and corners around the blowthrough with liquid rubber. It didn't leak when water tested but I'd rather be safe than sorry especially since I had a quart laying around.

Started plastidipping the rear bumper which was a black primer color and the front bumper and grill which was mostly chrome. Also did the fender flares and the inside of the camper shell window near the cab. Used the DYC spray system and it worked great! It's much better than rattle cans for large surfaces. Very happy with the results. Just need to do the door handles, side step running bars, and the trim piece that runs along both sides of the truck. Then everything will be blacked out [emoji4]
