Sure this can apply and it doesnt have to either. Think about him, instead of going online, saying negative things about his school's faculty with a friend's mom. Then she told her friends about the (supposed) wrong doings of the faculty. Would he deserve to get punished? Why is expressing an opinion outside of school, about the school prohibited?Maybe this does not apply to you, but most kids who b!tch and complain non-stop about their school, especially on the interwebz, are just losers who would be unhappy no matter where they were. The school has the misfortune of putting up with those kids shit when, in fact, they are not wanted at that or any other school.
Again, none of the above may apply to you. However, that is the category you are choosing to place yourself in.
Good luck.
Another good example of over stepping their boundaries was a case of a girl smoking cigarettes outside of my old school grounds. the situation was that you had a choice to park at the school lot or park about half to 3/4 mile away at a public road that happened to be going through a business park. She, being an 18 year old, was smoking after she got out of her car before school hours. She was still about .5 miles away. The school officer walked up to her, took the cig out of her mouth and told her to come with him. She was put on senior review and almost didnt walk with the rest my class. Was the officer overstepping his jurisdiction? yes, but nothing was done.
