BMX/COMP.. what is it?

what are the BMX1 / BMX2 and COMP1 / COMP2 settings on my HU? when i switch them, nothing sounds different.. not saying it should. but whats it for? right now all ill be using is a CDT Comp set, MAYBE some 6x9s in the back. subs and amps way later when i have decent money to put into it
