Bluetooth Suddenly Not Wanting to Auto-Connect?

Hi,

About 3 years ago I installed a new JVC KW-R920BTS Head unit in my '05 Explorer. I haven't had any problems with it until recently. I used to be able to just start the car and after a minute or so, my phone would be automatically connected to the unit for me to stream music. Recently the unit and the phone aren't successfully auto-connecting and I have to manually click the Bluetooth device from the list in my phone. The unit will tell me there is no device connected but when I go into the Bluetooth settings on my phone it shows I am connected. So it seems as if the unit isn't recognizing my device until i remind it that it is connected. (I hope this makes some sort of sense). Phone calls will still come over the speakers while still telling me "No device connected" but I cannot stream anything over the speakers until I go into settings and connect the phone that should be automatically connected. Is there any way to make Bluetooth auto-connect work properly again?

Sometimes you have to clear your phone and or head unit and "forget" connected devices or remove some devices to free up space.

Remove the phone from the list; reset the JVC; reset the phone; Re-pair
