Blown Type X's W/Pics

yea it looks to be a standard 3" coil. the shorting ring is the copper piece on top of the pole...

I'm aware of that, but it still doesn't answer my question, on how removing it will increase the dBz that you so elegantly stated earlier

I don't need your help. I know what a shorting ring is, and I know how they affect a speaker, what I'm wanting YOU to do, is back up your statement. Though it seems like you can't, which is what I figured in the first place. That's all.

Hmm thats funny i dont remember creating this thread to inquire about shorting rings. Nor do i care to know, keep your bickering out of my thread unless you got something that actual helps the original question i asked //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/verymad.gif.3f39c5c2fd57527b671fad3efdfac756.gif. Not to be a dick but this was a serious question.

I am inquiring with PAP to see if i can get some parts to fit...

lol how many speakers have you machined and built? huh?
What does that matter? I didn't realize that Faraday's law and Lenz's law varied from speaker to speaker. Oh wait, they're laws, they hold constant regardless. **** that was tricky, you almost got me. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif
