Blew my IDMAX need to upgrade...what do you guys think??

Well I blew up my 12" Idmax on my viper 1200d so I have 1200x1 to put on a new sub...What should I do next?? There are soo many **** options I was looking for a used W7 cuz I dont have the money for a new one,Saw the XXX 15 in the classifieds, or I can get a set of 15" Type Rs but theyd have to go sealed, what do you guys think for around 300-400??

That's actually a great idea. 2x IDmax would be SWEET and would be much lighter on your wallet. But the only problem would be getting that IDmax reconed, for ID is have some lil probs w/ receiving parts from their vendors. Hopefully the parts will in soon and I'll will have my IDmax back:crap: Other than that, you can't go wrong w/ ID. also they should be able to convert your MAX into a D4 if you plan to get two of them, cause i assume (hate to use that word) you have a D2 being that you're running it @ 1 ohm.

Yes I have the dual 2-ohm, I had it in a prefab(yes I know) 2.2cu ft tuned to 30hz ported box and it was pretty **** loud but I know I was pushing it to the limits cuz I am stupid, lol..I was looking at the w7 but matching that with my amp the impedance doesnt work out plus its too much for the w7s...I used to have 12" Type Rs ported on an Alpine MRD-M1005 and those babies KNOCKED, so now my idea is here;

1. Try to get the ID rebuilt (see if they can make it a dual-4, is that even possible??) and get another ID, then throw 600watts to each one

2. Two 12" Type Rs Ported

3. Two 15" Type Rs Sealed

These are the most cost effective and I think would sound good...what you guys think??

yes, im pretty sure that you can get it reconed to a dual 4, just make sure that you get the other woofer as a d4 also. Best thing to do in your case is call them and find out pricing on it and such.

pricing as i remember. $75 if dropped off and picked up. or $100 for them to ship it back to you.
