Blew my IDMAX need to upgrade...what do you guys think??

Well I blew up my 12" Idmax on my viper 1200d so I have 1200x1 to put on a new sub...What should I do next?? There are soo many **** options I was looking for a used W7 cuz I dont have the money for a new one,Saw the XXX 15 in the classifieds, or I can get a set of 15" Type Rs but theyd have to go sealed, what do you guys think for around 300-400??

I swapped my 12" sealed IDMAX for a 10" ported D9 and LOVE IT!

Buy a D9 and power it with every watt your amp can produce!

Well I have been tossing so many ideas around, Im trying to make a deal for a pair of 10w7s but am waiting on that, I have found an RE SX15 and XXX15 for decent price in classifieds, but I have never heard them and have no experience with RE stuff, I was tossing the idea of a single type R 15 but wondering if it would handle the power?? my amp is 1200wrms@1ohm or 800wrms@2ohm, If i got a single R 15 i could port it and run it at 2-ohm or I could get a pair of R 15s but due to space theyd have to be sealed with 600watts each...what do you guys think??

could use aero ports for the box. I personally would get the XXX, but thats just me.

what i think is that you should go w/ RE and slang me that max.

Anything over 1000 watts is too much for an idmax....they would sound perfect with half that power. If you did go that high, i'm hoping that you didn't have your gains past half way on that amp (that would be a for sure mistake)...i would also assume that your sub level on your head unit was at the minimum and the bass was eq'd down a notch to account for the over-amplification.

My advice...recone the sub and buy another and run two off that viper.
