i used plexi glass to seal up the main hole, basically if i ever have any problems inside the door panel, i will just be able to cut the plexi glass out, fix the problem, and then re-install it. instead of having to cut out the deadner and not being able to re-use it. and it will be easier to cutout the plexi then remove the deadner.

just the passenger side done for today, as i was short on time. driver side should be done tomarrow.

just from deading this door and getting all the holes sealed up, i noticed alot better midrange response, with alot better punch from the kickdrums

as some may know, i had some problems with my first set of tweeters (blaupunkt vc100's). i had them crossed a little low, with to much power. they are dead now if you were wondering.

here is my new set, Seas neo aluminum's. amazing for the money. definately happy i blew my vc100's so i could upgrade to these.

well this model has no mounting cups/materials whatever you wanna call them so i had to make due with what i had.

i used my vc100 mounts, these tweeters were a little smaller, i ended up wrapping the back in a thin strip of foam and they squeezed right in there solidly.

i then used plumbers tape on the back, screwed them into the back of the tweeter and folded the edges. lets just say they are not goin anywhere. only modification i had to make the the cup was to cut out the back of the mounting cup as these were a little deeper the the vc's.

if your wondering, this is tucked up above the center console underneath the dash i believe i ended up velcroing it on my onstart module. not sure though. either way its all out of sight and looks good.

box build is coming soon.

Very nice, I like the creative use of the VC mounts for the Seas. This project is just rolling along. Doors look good too. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsup.gif.3287b36ca96645a13a43aff531f37f02.gif

thanks man, well i had to find a way to mount them and since the seas are smaller then the hole cut out for the vc mounts i figured i would try soomething creative.

so i got some 1/8-1/4" thick foam that is stick on 1 side, wrapped the sticky side around the tweet so it would stay secure, and they went right in with a snug fit.

then i just put the back strap on due to the way my friends shut my doors, i figured if i didnt put the strap there they would eventually came out.

i think the tweets look very good and i was real satisfied with them.
