Got rid of my 06 silverado z71, and picked up my new ride. a 2005 pontiac grand prix gt. it is black with all leather interior and every option you can get with this model. bought it with 43525 miles on it for 12300$. bluebooks for a little under 15k$. im driving over 500 miles a week so the gas is definately saving me a little cash in gas as i average about 30mpg with this and got about 17mpg with my truck. anyways this will be my build log to show my progress. the biggest thing im waiting on is my subs to get reconed and come in, i basically have everything else. my build will consist of

2-sundown audio nightshade 15's d2

1-sundown audio 3000d wired at .5 ohms

2-kinetik 2400's in the trunk

1-kinetik 1800 under the hood

1-mechman 250 amp alternator (still need to purchase)...big 3 will also be done

1-set of CDT CL-61i components

1-sundown audio 100.2 (will hopefully be trading this plus cash for a 100.4 to run active with...if you have one and want to trade please contact me)

1-alpine dva-9861 (will hopefully be trading this also for a pioneer 800prs...if you have one and want to trade please contact me)

wire is all knukonceptz and kicker hyperflex

my box will be 7ft^3 after port and sub displacement tuned to 32hz. it will be completely sealed off with the subs and port firing into the cabin. (seats fold down FTW)

the 2400's will be housed in the trunk, and the amps will be mounted on the back of the rear seats. its a 60-40 split (more like 70-30) and the 3000d will be mounted on the back of the 60 seat, with the comp amp on the back of the 40 seat.

well lets get this started. i will keep updating this with my progress as i go along. keep in mind i work 3rd shift and have a very time consuming girlfriend so progress may be slow, but stay tuned as im hoping to break 150 with this setup //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif wish me luck...

well i started installing my comps today and little to my knowledge did i know that they would be too deep. well in order for me to get them in there now i just modified my stock baffles until i get the right tools to make me some custom ones (gf's dad). so here it is so far, and btw i found out that i will not be able to place the 3000d where i wanted so i gave the 100.2 a little more room. i also had to dremel out the stock tweeter location to fit my new ones in. comps are not up and running yet, need to run my power wires tomarrow morning and should have them going then. sorry for the dissapointment. so onto todays progress pics...

My dad's wife has an '07 Grand Prix, and man does that car have a ****ing trunk! Good luck with your build, can't wait to see how it turns out.
thats what i thought when i was looking at it. i wanted something that was good on gas but i could still put a nice system in it. and this has it all.

my max dimensions are 18x35x35=10.71ft^3 i can get out of it if i build it in the trunk //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

I hate you J/K. lol. looks like it should be a nice build. cant wait to see it all installed. it your battery side post terminals if the kinitek is top post? im wondering hows that going to work unless they changed over to top post for thoose yrs.

You just lay the Kinetik On its Side, or convert everything to ring terminals.

Real easy fix either way.

cant wait man
you will prolly be the first on this forum to hear it in person

Looking forward to it.

they actually did change over to top posts now. so it should be real simple for me.
