Blackbonnie's 05 Grand Prix GT Build Log

just got the hid's installed on my 05, and got some pics together with adam coon. we both got 8000k in the headlights and fog lights.

the headlights are running a 55 watt ballast, while the fogs are just on a 35 watt due to space inside the housing...

here are the end results.

decided to rewire my front stage and get it all installed. i used kukonceptz bi-wire (basically 4 wires in one sleeve. really nice and less hassle and mess when installing. only downside, is its about the same size as 2 guage. oh well

my baffles housing the id oem's

the false floor will not cover the whole trunk, if it did my box would not fit as it would be to tall. i should have mroe updates tonight for ya guys

in order for my door panels to fit on the door, there were a couple pieces i had to remove due to them hitting the baffles.

well when installing my door panels and after i started tuning it, it sounded really distorted....

come to find out the plastic piece on the oem's cone was butted right up against my stock speaker grills on my door panel. well i had to make some adjustments for it to fit.

gotta still finish the false floor in the trunk and build my box, carpet everything, and clean all the wires up. but once thats done im pretty set.

ill keep this updated as much as possible

throw the oem grills on the mids to protect them and give it a stock look. Also i got engine whine in the speakers when i ran the speaker wire next to the power wire. I moved it and it went away. Might get some the way u have it ran just letting u know my experience.

Why did u switch from the cdt comps to the id's and vc's???

How much power were u giving the cdts and what set was it?
