Birch Box Build for 2 SX 12's

u said it not me. u said gorilla glue will fill any gaps.

carpet still has too much of an edge for my taste.

it looks good though ill give you that..
"Titebond is painted on the tongue, and in the groove, and gorilla glue is placed in a few choice areas to help fill and bond any gaps that would otherwise be impossible to get to"

Which I just explained.

If you say it looks good, again, that means something //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

overspraywhere the carpet meets the paint
The box was painted before the carpet was applied, overspray is impossible.

There is a groove there, which gives a really cool look in person. It being blue was no mistake //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I wasn't a fan of the other boxes I've seen from you, but that is one **** FINE Box. I'm not personally a fan of the color/carpet combo, but that's just a difference in taste. I might just have to buy one from you, even though I have this box almost done on my porch, lol. PM me with a rough price of the birch box, around 4 cubes internal before displacement.

Does that clear things up a bit?

With both pics its pretty obvious, I get what your saying about the second pic though... depends on how you look at it.

Shut up, the box is perfect...

Nice job once again, Mark. What does a sheet of Birch cost you (thinking of giving it a try.)
your gonna cry.... and I'm cryin while I type it...

maybe its cheaper elsewhere, but @ fox lumber here its $70 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif :crying: //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif

Wow, I would have never thought that much...

I'll stick to MDF:D

Uhmm .... Nicely thought out ..... Eye catching too ..... But um , ever wonder why 99% of all high end speaker builders choose MDF ? It's not the cost , it is the lack of inert resonance of the material. Real wood has it's own resonance frequency which colors the sound .... It has nothing to do with stiffness.
