I own both, AQ20 and Hifonics Sampson, boards are "similar" but the AQ makes more power on a 12 volt system..and is a lot more stable for daily use..AQ20 does on 12 volts what sampson does on 17 volts..they can be modded to run up to 18 volts, and with enough batteries and a reactive 1 ohm load, I bet it will come close to doing 20k...clamped a little over 10k with rise to 2.8 ohm with my 20k...^^^ same board as hifonics sampson and other 8-9k amps. not near 20k i hope u know
lol, well I actually understood all the numbers I was just very surprised that amp manufactures are making "off the shelf" amps that put out over 12,000 RMS! I remember when the SoundStream Colossus was THE bad boy... There were a few others but that's the one that stands out in my memory.haha thats basic talk some people will start throwing around #s that i have no idea what they mean and do calculations that i dont understand
stetsom has a 14k I believe if not more..lol, well I actually understood all the numbers I was just very surprised that amp manufactures are making "off the shelf" amps that put out over 12,000 RMS! negative, he's in usaci i think and running 18 volt setup puts him in a diff class. Besides theres better for the moneyIf you can run a higher voltage maybe the soundstream 15K. idk its ratings but it comes to mind.
