looks good but just in case put something under it I would not place it right on the body of the car. and i prefer to underfuse than to overfuse. better be safe than sorry.
Exactly. I use Loc-Tite on all of my screws and set screws for this very reason.The problem is that the connection closest to the melted portion is/was loose. It's causing a high resistance point which causes a voltage drop which causes a power loss and that power is lost as heat.
First thing to do is get a new fuse holder. That one is ruined, do not continue to use it. Once you have the new fuse holder and one for the back battery as well, make sure all your connections are tight and check them periodically to make sure that they stay that way.
