I can't. Do you realize how bad the traffic is? Right now, it's still not supposed to hit, so I should be fine.

Supposed to be like a Tropical Storm, but we do have a Hurricane watch.

EDIT: Oh yeah, gas is pretty much gone over here from the million N.O.'ers who passed through.

The category 5 is hitting New Orleans. I'm ~250-300 miles west of that. The storm is supposed to take a NE turn, but like I said we are under a Hurricane watch over here.

35-45 mph winds with 60-70 mph gusts. There should be some down trees, power outages, but we won't be 20 ft. under water like New Orleans.

And yes, I have definately been watching the news.

By the way, my dad actually works for the electrical company over here. He's gonna be out in the middle of all this supervizing those repairing power lines and such.

He's been through quite a few hurricanes and really doesn't seem very worried. Like I said, we should be OK over here.

haha sucks for us cuz i am 60miles south of new orleans //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif we didnt even board up, we have been thru tons of huricannes in this house and it does fine...our dumbass nahbors left their alum. boat in their pond and a shit load of rusty barrels in their yard!! but **** it... this is fun shit to me
