Big 3 setup

exactly. but think of this way, you can only sip so much fluid thru a straw ,but if you make the it bigger you can sip the fluid faster cause the larger straw will allow the fluid to flow quicker.i'm not saying that your alt will produce more amps what i'm saying is that it will recharge the battery faster because of the larger wire.it my also reduce or eliminate the head lights from dimming.as far as the fuse it will restrict the power flow to the battery
Then help me understand.. I can pack a parachute but im no electrician.

You can control how hard you blow in the straw.. You cant make a peice of equipment push faster then it was built for?

actually thats where the amp is pulling from period.the alt only recharges that battery,so the bigger the wire from the alt to the battery the faster the battery will recharge from the alt

Mylows you might have missed tis post.. This is what I dont get. You alt will only recharge your battery as fast as it will produce power.

The Alternater is not producing more power it is just Charging the battery up faster, Basically instead of having a delay in between the time the Amp pulls the power from the bat to recharging it, I.E dimming of head lights is reduced or eliminated by the increased flow of electrons. Answer your question?

How is it moving faster when the stock run will already handle the amps its producing?

Maybe I wont get it. I didnt check voltage before and after so I might of made a diffrence but I didnt visually notice one.

yes but the current has to travel thru a very small thin wire,[smaller than my sub wires]so using this smaller wire restricts the current flow to a minimum,if you use a larger wire the current is less restricted so it charges faster,if you have a big amp it will drain your battery fast and the alt most of the time cant keep up with the draining ,so the wire does help.and in some cases it helps alot.most cars made now ,the alt will barely keep the car running much less support a larger stereo system ie[my tahoe] but when i added the big 3 or 4 as i do i noted that the lights where not dimming as bad as they used to and also the battery didnt drain as bad as it did before.

Ok think of it as a Highway This highway will represent our wire and the cars will represent electrons, during rush hour traffic you can only move so fast, But in that same stretch of high way you add 2 lanes to each side of the road , Now the same rush hour traffic is moving faster, nothing has been altered but the road at which the Cars or in this case Electrons are allowed to flow in the wire. i cant really get any simpler than that.

thank you some one gets it

But that still doent equate. You can control the flow in that situation. You cant control a alternator. Its going to do what its designed for, no more no less.

Maybe I need to study up on the opertain factors of the alternator.

So how much will someone like me really benefit from the big 3.

04 Mountaineer primer 4.6 v8.

3 12" subs on a 1250 class D amp (hit 146DB in the trunk of a stratus R/T) a stock 8" and small amp.

A stock dvd player and a head unit something like the one I posted above.
