I feel the better battery makes the biggest dif cause thats where the amp is pulling from first.. Unless your running a HO then its going to be a must
Then help me understand.. I can pack a parachute but im no electrician.exactly. but think of this way, you can only sip so much fluid thru a straw ,but if you make the it bigger you can sip the fluid faster cause the larger straw will allow the fluid to flow quicker.i'm not saying that your alt will produce more amps what i'm saying is that it will recharge the battery faster because of the larger wire.it my also reduce or eliminate the head lights from dimming.as far as the fuse it will restrict the power flow to the battery
Mylows you might have missed tis post.. This is what I dont get. You alt will only recharge your battery as fast as it will produce power. Then help me understand.. I can pack a parachute but im no electrician. You can control how hard you blow in the straw.. You cant make a peice of equipment push faster then it was built for?
The Alternater is not producing more power it is just Charging the battery up faster, Basically instead of having a delay in between the time the Amp pulls the power from the bat to recharging it, I.E dimming of head lights is reduced or eliminated by the increased flow of electrons. Answer your question?Mylows you might have missed tis post.. This is what I dont get. You alt will only recharge your battery as fast as it will produce power.
thank you some one gets itOk think of it as a Highway This highway will represent our wire and the cars will represent electrons, during rush hour traffic you can only move so fast, But in that same stretch of high way you add 2 lanes to each side of the road , Now the same rush hour traffic is moving faster, nothing has been altered but the road at which the Cars or in this case Electrons are allowed to flow in the wire. i cant really get any simpler than that.
But that still doent equate. You can control the flow in that situation. You cant control a alternator. Its going to do what its designed for, no more no less.Ok think of it as a Highway This highway will represent our wire and the cars will represent electrons, during rush hour traffic you can only move so fast, But in that same stretch of high way you add 2 lanes to each side of the road , Now the same rush hour traffic is moving faster, nothing has been altered but the road at which the Cars or in this case Electrons are allowed to flow in the wire. i cant really get any simpler than that.
a littleDiffrent cars have diffrent size stock runs? Mine was like 6awg and I was running 4 to the amp. that may have made a diffrence.
