uh-oh......
i hope dj can catch the problem b4 it's too late....

i wanna see some 18 inch video's....
What problem? To date I've reconed one sub in which the coil wire was burnt into due to clipping. From reading this thread one person claims to have a spider failure while running over three times the rated power in a poor box with the amp/s at full clip judging by the looks of the coil. 500 degree glue doesn't melt without excessive clipping at very high power levels. A third person says he ripped a spider on a 3000D amplifier. All I've seen so far is enduser abuse.

I have seen dozens of vids on utube and elsewhere of endusers running the subs on square waves much below box tuning for several minutes at a time at several times the rated power with no failures. Of the several hundred HDC subs in use three failures related to abuse is a pretty damm good record in anybodies book. Our subs may be inexpensive but they sure as hell don't use cheap glues or parts.

to correct, it was a 3000d on a pair. But i know nothing other than that. i received them used in that condition.

ooohhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/popcorn.gif.32dd9e22fd77e77bc3c907062768fcd2.gif
i'm not trying to argue any points, because i have none.

all this thread is here to do is show failures, which may or may not be due to user error(thats not the point)

it is the users error point blank. He could of stopped them before destruction. Subwoofers give signs before failure.

Btw, I got mine in today thanks to MEMPHISFLEX, thank you again //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I have an event on the 20th so I will finally see what these things can do //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

But you were running them at about 1kw over their rated power, some subs can handle a lot more than their rated power and some cant. What did you think was going to happen?
