Sorta, and because neo is NEO!!! and sounds cool. JBL and TC Sounds have more capable underhung neo drivers for pro audio, but I'm sure they are $$$$ too.

Well, that, and they custom tooled every single part of that speaker line. NOTHING is off the shelf. The 15" and 18" versions are where it's at IMO. The 12 looks tiny compared to the 15.
