Better than JL ?

Aren't 18's and SQ somewhat mutually exclusive? Maybey nobody around here has any skills, but I've never heard a musical sounding 18, let alone 2

MTX 1501d, 1989 Ford Bronco, as for the box... there will be many. I'll first start with a 10cuft sealed.

x2. Jl is way over priced. They do the exact thing any other sub dose, displace air. There is probably a few db seperating it away from the comp. And the compitition being under $400. Now do you want to pay the price of a 18w3, or go with the other guy( re, eclipse, kicker, alpine, orion, sound splinter)? Save your self some money by going with one of these brands. Take the rest of the money you saved upgrade the big 3, bulid the proper box. And I promis you you'll sound alot better than anyone with an 18w3. Because we all know they broke their budget when they bought the 18w3 so they could'nt afford to upgrade the things that make a good system.

where in the hell are you going to get to sound better and be louder than two 18w3"s for 350 bux or less???? its not likely.

Usually the people who hate JL are the ones who have never owned any of their products. I posted this question because I couldn't think of anything with the same sq and spl as TWO 18w3's for less than $350. good luck fiting them in the correct enclosure in anything but a large SUV or van with no extra storage\passanger space.

imo - you can get that loud with a smaller box, and smaller drivers and sound better to boot. having a pair of 18's is basically just a wow factor - or an SPL vehicle lol. for 350, you got a deal on a pair of mediocre subs in my oppinion. but using them practically? thats another oppinion all together.
