Better than CDT???

Thanks for the advice Naxis, i will look into the pioneer rev. Just curious, was it the same setup as the CDTs and have you any experience comparing it to the EF series components?

You may find it difficult to find direct comparisons. A better method, do a search for posts containing EFs or other speakers and you'll find feedback, issues for that speaker. Search this forum, sounddomain, elite etc. Listen to what people say, and get an overall view of the qualities of a particular speaker.

A word of caution when asking for one's opinion, you don't know what the person's view is based on. See if they're reputable. Some have raved about a speaker only to find out their comparing with factory. Don't buy into the hype and do your homework.

I've yet to meet a very dedicated, knowledgable car-audio enthusiast who has been truly impressed with anything CDT.

I'd venture to say that quite possibly, they might be to car audio what Bose is to home theatre-- they impress mostly people who don't really know too much about car audio, but those who do (and these are sadly very few) can see right through their speakers and see there's better options out there, even for the money.

but that's just my opinion.

Wow, that's a burn.

I hope they're not that bad. Besides, Bose makes car audio too.

It's funny- ever since I was small, about 10 years old (7 years ago), I'd walk into a Bose store with my dad, and he'd be like "that's awesome". I, however, was never very impressed. I mean, I thought they sounded good, but nothing phenominal, especially considering the price.

And that's when I was 10. I guess I do have top-notch tastes though. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

I have yet to install my eDi 6500s, but I hope they are a good deal better than the OK Bose speakers in my dad's TL-S.

No oem...

I'm just referring to the fact that Cris compared CDT to Bose... and the fact that Bose makes both home theatre and car audio speakers... so it's almost a contradictiory comparison in some ways.
