better than boston comps???

I have been shopping to upgrade my car speakers. The only set of speakers that I heard that have the nice sparkling highs and crisp high mids I am looking for are the boston comps?? but YIKES $1,000 a pair. I have not heard many other brands.. what are some suggestions for say... 6 1/2" comps for under $300? or are their any?

dude, you have to go and try them and listen to them, I have radioshack speakers in my car and it sounds better than infinity coaxial. so just go and trust your ears man
