better subs than Kicker solo18x?

well what would the rms be fore the RE MT 18'' subs for NON-daily driving???? why does it matter lol... i just want it to be the loudest shit in the entire UNIVERSE ****it

And you are going about it entirely wrong. Given your questions, you sound relatively new.

Throwing a lot of power at a big sub is not going to automatically make you loud. Knowledge of box design, however, is.

Stop asking questions for a while (especially questions like this thread) and just start reading and learning, and you'll get louder with less power and less money.

although I dont pretend to be an expert - when you dont even know what RE and DD stand for (in my mind some of the top companies) i wouldnt think your install (perhaps even your first?) wouldnt be a Solo X. But i guess it doesnt hurt to ask questions - Get an MT!

....it wouldve taken about 15 less words to answer my question? why not just answer the simple *** question and stfu? Searching RE MT gives about 3000 page in which 1 of those 3000 is my answer?? who in the right mind would spend 300 hours looking through all those random threads that are useless to find that 1 with the correct info, when I could just simply ask it right here and get my answer within about 15 seconds??? commen sense little boy
You're a fvuckin idiot. Plain and simple.

lmfao... im not allowed to ask questions to GAIN knowledge unless im alreayd an expert?? my bad i guess im not of your extreme audio extremist breed. instead of just answering a simple question you kids just spend more time trying to tell me that i'm an idiot b/c i dont spend 9 hours a day reading articles about the latest subs and reading over my 9 magazine subscriptions to audio magazines. squeak... if its all about box design then, how would a sub with little power and a good box design be louder than a sub with amazing power with a good box design?? lol u make no sense, i asked one simple question about what is louder than those kickers and all you had to do was give me a simple answer???

i was just giving you a hard time man - seemed like you didnt have much knowledge of the products - we cant really tell you what would be louder - it has so many factors in there to consider

how many watts?

whats ur electrical system gonna be like?

how big is the box? what is the tuning?

install dependent as im sure everyone has said - heard many good things about 9515 Digital Designs and the RE MT for SPL - Solo X im sure is pretty loud in its own right - provided the right power and box!

Its not that you have to be an expert, Its that the whole point of joining a forum is to advance your knowledge of car audio. It is not a bad thing to do a search, Sit down take an hour or so, do some searches on the forum for the subs you want to possibly purchase (im sure their are tons of Versus threads between the Solo X and DD, and RE subs). And Squeak is right throwing tons of watts at a sub isnt going to make you loud if you have no concept of enclosure design. Do a searc and you might find that there are cheaper alternatives than getting super subs like MT's and Soll X's If you just want to have a really loud system, L7's or RE SX's might do the trick. My whole point here is to tell you that learning is better than demanding answers.

If you're asking questions like you have been..you have NO business walking into the realm of subs like SoloX and RE MT. The MT doesnt come with RMS ratings..for a reason. There isnt an RMS wattage for the MT..because it is a pure SPL sub. I think you should do some reading...tons of wattage and SPL subs isnt the most cost effective way to get loud. You work your way up...it's the cheapest, and easiest way to gain some knowledge. Dont be such an *** to ppl you are asking for info, or they will be an *** in return, and you wont get any help.

the reason people tell you to read up is because there are a bunch of threads on so many things that people dont want or need to rehash. the info is already out there. and if/when you force yourself to read a million things to find 1 piece of info you do need, rest assured you did not waste time because if you really do your homework, you will learn a load of other things you didnt even have questions for........i could keep going but i wont

Pop quiz thread poster.

What coil combo will you need on a Solo X to run two Orion 1200d's on it for optimal power?

If you cannot answer this one question, maybe you should spend some more time reading and getting to know basic(driver size, RMS power, MAX power, coil wiring, resistance, quality products) audio electronics.

EDIT:

Since I believe the SOLO X coils come in many different coil options. Just chose from these ficticious values:
