better sub?

i am looking at either a apline type r or a jl w3. i want a 10" and it will be run off of a kx 1200.1. i would also like to put it in a ported box. what would be the sub for me?

you could look at the RE SE or an RL-p as well. But you can ge the type r's for cheap! I think JL is overpriced.

id get the alpine over the re re and probably the se to but it would be a close one b.t type r and the se, it would probably come down to price or prefrence

the only way to run that amp on jl w3's is if u get 2 of them..........one jl on that amp and it will blow quickly..not from over excursion by thermally

thats alot of heat introduced to a 2.25inch coil
