better SQ: SE or SX?

Maybe it's just not clear to me. I haven't heard either of them (everyone I know has JL) so I'll ask people of have. It's a simple question, which has better sound quality, the RE SE or RE SX?

x2... in a well designed ported enclosure the sx will wang and sound very good... mine is tuned to 35 and it is still sound amazing at higher levels... but again, probably not comparable to an sq sub like a type R or something of that nature

I doubt that.

SE gets pretty loud for just 1 sub.

SE>SX in terms of SPL.

But they are by no means a SQ sub.

so what sub has a great balance????? great sq but can get loud as heck while sounding good? That in teh same price range and carries 600-1000 watts
