I'm looking to spend about 300 on a amp, im wanting said amp to be D class, and it will be running a single Solo Baric L5.

So far my thoughts are

Kicker KX 600.1

MTX 801d

Hitronics Brutus 1000bx

Lanzar Vibe 1800 mono block

Im wanting the amp to make my baric sound the best i can for the money i have. Solo baric is in a seal box if that helps on advice. looks of the amp arent much of a factor functionality is a must though.

well i really would like one of the amps listed or something that would be good for this sub enclosure combo. I'm not to into the fact of using 2 amps on 1 sub. please someone answer with some knowledge

whatever you do, do not go with the mtx:thumbsdow .they burn out to quickly. At the shop that I work at we see at least 3 bad mtx amps a week. Personaly, i would go for the kicker

Well i havent bought an amp yet i sell have around 14-16 days worth of research to do til i get my amp money. I know this sounds stupid to most of you, but im just trying to get most information i can about said products before i spend my wad on them. thanks in advance for advice.

Also ditto, doesnt MTX have a warranty on thier products, i dont mind taking it back if by some chance it does out. I'm running thier 801d on my IDMAX sub and havent ran into any problems. But your thoughts really do consern me in the fact that if they are that bad , then i might now want to run one in a higher watt aplication like the above stated one.

Also i feel like the 1501d price point is a great deal for the 299, i would be paying. I would be buying it from a local Circuit sity and paying 45 dollars for a extended warranty, so just let me know if something is wrong with how im going about getting this amp, and if i may be screwed in the long run.

yes they do have a warranty, in the end I guess it is a decision on money vs quality, but personaly I have to say go for one of your other choices. This is not my decision on what you buy, or where you buy from. Sometimes you might get lucky, but don't be surprised if you have to bring it back

lol umm I have dealt with MTX on and off for years, and I have not seen any signs of what your saying about quality problems, they are a great company, many of their amps are over built and heavily underratted, I have seen countless 8100D have the crap beat out of them and they still thrust out a solid 1700+ watts, they are a great company and the service is decent also, the only complaint I might have ever had is some of their older line amps were a little high on THD

i have a 5-channel MTX 5400X (25 X 4 + 100) that i bought from CC and it died within a month but the replacement has been going strong for well over a year. i just bought a MTX 1501D about 2 weeks ago and i'm hoping it will be just as reliable. but if it isn't i can get it replaced in a heart beat with or without a warranty...i bought it from my part-time job ($305 w/tax) and they said not to worry if it dumps on me. supposed to be one hell of an amp and built like a tank.

i've somewhat scraped my idea on getting a MTX 1501 amp, asi can get a interfire ifb- 2340 for 249 at my local stereo shop and they say i will get alot more pound for the buck out of it then the MTX.
