Better amp for my application?

I'm loooking to install a budget system in my jeep (fullsize wagoneer). I have my mids, lows, player all installed. Now im looking to power my Sony 12" XS-1235 sub that is in a sealed 1.2cf box.

The two amps I'm having trouble deciding over are the Profile 600msx and the Pioneer 760 (GM-X962).

Now what would be a better amp for my sub? Or if you have a better amp suggestion that would work for my sub, let me know.

BTW: Im not looking to blow my doors off with bass, I want to hear it of course, but run my sub at a consistant level.

what about a U.S. acoutics amp? like the US acoustics USX-600D puts out 200x1 at 4 ohms.

If the US acoustics amp averages around 190.00. That is a little more than I want to put in this system. The pioneer and profile are 115.00 with shipping.

get the us acoustics it will be worth it in the end...comes with a 3 year waranty on it cant beat that.......

i'd take the Profile, but thats just me. i own one (what can i say.. bit biased possibly?) and it works great. doesn't run hot or anything, even under extreme uses.

i think the pioneer is 150x2@4ohm. the profile is 410x1@2ohm. the profile would have an edge in watts, but for quailty, i'd go with pioneer. but since you just want to add a little more to your system, the profile should be better in this case.

I wonder how much wattage i really need to run that sony 12? 800w max, rated at 200w (whatever "rated" means?).

After reading some more on this board, the CL Profile series seems to be better. So I guess im stuck between the:

Appreciate the offer but a little more than I want to spend. I'm actually going to go with the US acoustics USX-2100. Everyone here seems to give them a thumbs up over pioneer and profile. I really like the 3 year warranty on the US acoustic products.

Crutchfield has the USX-2100 for 129.00 and sounddomain for 124.00. They are the only places I found online that have decent prices on US Acoustics. Anyone know of a better price? Etroncis.com don't eve carry them.
