So which do you think will be better for daily? I have the opportunity to pick up either one, the Atomic 5000 would be a little bit more money of course, but neither would be too expensive. My electrical consists of a stock alternator, optima g34 up front, 1/0 big three, 1 run of 1/0, and kinetik hc2400 in the back.

So which one would one would you go with?

Additionally, which will handle the 0.5 ohm reactive load presented by my Dual 1 9515 daily better?

i'd always go for more power, aren't the 4kws a little bit of a current hog and don't they fry at lower voltage? i'd not chance it depending on how big your stock alt is.

not to go off track but if your lookin at atomic why not the american bass 500.1s fs on here theyre in the same price range.... and will play .5 all day....
Because these are my current trade offers for my 2k6d + cash from me

with that much power your probably gonna need a HO alt

ah oh that makes more sense.... id have to say the atomic tho that memphis is more of a higher voltage amp i think,....

and the needing a h/o alt soon, will really only depend on your listening and drain on the battery or batteries your using... just charge at nights..... i have been using a 60 amp alt on alot of diff amps and so far the bigger the amp it seems to be more efficient in my case atleast....

Only two companies make one for my car

HO Alternators - $650 for 180 amps

Ohio Generators - $500 for 180 amps

So, as of right now, that ain't gonna happen.

that's why i said, depending on his current alt.. already //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

he may not, i've ran 3,800 roughly on my stock 80 with a single yellowtop and no big three, just have to know what you're doing. i'm sure he does too.

I contacted Isuzu about my stock alternator, and none of the techs could tell me what it was.

I went in to a dealership, but apparently I got there too late (from Clemson to Greenville, 5 pm on a Saturday, I was like WTF?!)

Memphis is a great amp, but yes it is a current hog and will fry in a heart beat with low voltage.

I would get the atomic to have the headroom later on, and imo, it will like the .5 ohm better than the memphis.

With either amp, as I am sure you know, you'll definantly have to watch your voltage. And with the alt, have you ever considered getting a custom alt built?
