soon i will be wiring up an amp in my friend's '98 integra. this will be my 1st amp install and the only concern i have is getting it through the firewall. the rest is cake =).

i saw a suggestion that i should connect a wire coat hanger to the power wire and feed it thru the grommet that way. another suggestion was to remove the grommet and cut an appropriately sized hole for the wire

so what should i do?

I have found the best way is to stick a needle nose plies through the grommet(handles on side you want the wire). The jam a screw driver handle or something similar in between the plier handles so it holds the pliers open. Then go to the other side of the wire wall and rest the end of the wire on the open plier needles. Now go back to the side with the plier handles, remove the screw driver handle(or what ever is holding the pliers open), grab the pliers tightly and pull the wire through.

That's how I do it and it works great every time.
