step drills work great too..

get some techflex and go under the car/in the rocker panels.. how do you expect to tuck it under the carpet and whatnot?

You just have to make sure they're really sharp

search ebay or something Im sure you can find them cheaper

Unibits/step bits are very handy to have around, in case you need to drill into sheet metal in the future.

However, if you don't want to spend that much, I'm sure you could find a standard metal hole saw for less. They've been under $20 the last time I had to get one. But unlike a stepped bit, you're stuck with one diameter only.
