my HU is the DEH-780MP, and i now regrounded it to the chasis of the HU, and it is still there... any ideas? should i try grounding in the back by the amp aswell or is that pointless? also still wondering about ground loop isolaters, i used one before on a diff. HU with the same issue, but it didnt fix it... maybe user error?? idk...

ground it to the negative of your car battery mayb? if that dont work, it mite be something internal

How did you determine it is your head unit? Disconnect the RCA's from your amps, turn on the system, and see if the whine is still there or not.
