why didnt they grant you the day off? either way you are going to get shit for taking off. just man up, say you arent coming in. they know you really arent sick.

since i have the least seniority and i guess everybody requested the same day. but it may come down to the last minute two hours before i have to come to work. now i should just look at the request book if thereis alot of request then im just going to call in instead of requesting

Tell them you're too busy waiting for people to reply to a thread you posted on ca.com about the best way to call out of going to work so you won't be able to make it in to work.

If that doesn't work tell them someone broke into your house and stole all your clothes so you have nothing to wear to work.

if you aren't actually sick just go in.. it will catch up with you.. one day you are going to have off and someone else will do what you are trying and you will be called in

you do not NEED to tell them anything else other than your sick/hurt , have family/personal issues you need to take care of or... i think thats about the only legit excuses i use.

lol. if this were only true in all cases. I can do this myself but people that we have on sick cert. Have to give a a specific reason and bring a dr. note even for 1 day off.
