Best wattage to these subs?

Right now Im waiting for my new subs to get here(4 2 ohm DVC, 600 rms watts) and selling my four pioneer tens(SVC 4 ohm, 250 rms watts) to my brother.

The problem is I havent set aside the loot for my new amp, and I will need to run these off a profile AP2000 ( 960 rms bridged) for a few weeks.

My question is should I wire two of the new subs to a 2 ohm mono load to see 480 watts a piece, or should I wire all 4. Will 240 watts be enough to drive a 600 rms woofer halfway decent?

But this is the beginning of a revamp of my system. Im new, so I might as well introduce myself. My names jake, im from syracuse, NY. I drive a corsica (heh), but she has a little bump. Im currently mapping out my new system. Right now im running a Profile AP2000, with four pioneer 10"s. I did the big three, but only in 4 AWG, which is going to change when I i run 0/1 all around for my new gear. In the front I have Infinity 2 way 4x6's, and in the back I have pioneer 4 way 6x9s, about to be run off a an AP600. I also have some cooling fans wired to a toggle switch by my cig lighter(more of just fun "project" but do function well.). For a headunit I have the 2004 pioneer DEH7700P.

Im about to upgrade to optima yellowtop, 0/1 awg big three plus primary wiring, An AP600 for high(cheap reliable and pushes enough) with the speakers connected behind the headunit(loses fade, but I dont use it and its easy) For a sub amp im undecided but I would like to find one that will get atleast ~1800 rms at one ohm, After that is all said and don I am going to get front and rear tweeters for a "fill"

So, it nice meeting you all and being a part of the community. I got into audio two years ago and really love it, so help is appreciated.

Well thats what im planning on, a 1 ohm stable amp, probably 1500-2400 rms watts, and wire the four together to a 1 ohm load.

But I could either bridge the four into a 4 ohm load, wire 2 to each channel at a 2 ohm load, or bridge 2 at a 2 ohm load.

Given the 960 rms watts of my present amp, should I bridge 2 or wire 2 to each channel. Im just wondering if 480 watts to each sub, but only two subs would sound louder than 240 to 4.

Now when I get 400 plus to each one //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif... cant wait...
