Best tuning for 12 RE XXX?

Hi again, I'm looking to get the best tuning specs the box for my 12 RE XXX. RE recommends 2.2cu @ 34hz for optimal ported. I've been looking around and it seems people are recommending higher cubic feet (around 4) to maximize potential. I'm basically looking for SQL, deep hitting, so would tuning the box to 4.0 cubic feet @ around 33hz be good for my preference? Please lend me your thoughts.
