best subwoofer for $500?

I think I've decided on the - 15" SSA XCON D1/D2

Just to confirm, will my amp be able to handle it? It says the xcon is 1750w RMS and here's my amps specs:

Ample Audio Exonic 1500 Class D Monoblock Car Amplifier

RMS Power Rating:

4 ohms: 800 watts x 1 chan.

2 ohms: 1200 watts x 1 chan.

1 ohm: 1500 watts x 1 chan.

Max power output: 3000 watts

I think I should be ok on the electrical part since my current system has it's own battery in the trunk but, if I notice any issues then I'll get the alternator upgraded as mentioned in this thread.

Lastly on their site it asks for the 1ohm version or 2ohm version, which should I go with? It looks like according to my amp I'll get 1500w rms if it's at 1 ohm so that's what I should get?

Thanks

You will need the dual 2 ohm sub, in order to wire down into 1 ohm on the amp.

And yes, the xcon should handle that much power easily, with the right enclosure and clean power.
