Best sub

Can someone please recommend me some 15" subs please. My set up will consist of a tantrum 1200.1 which is rated at about 1430 watts rms at 4 ohms. Please help me decide a 15" sub with GREAT spl and sq. My budget is 350-450.00 give or take shipping charges. I have a ford explorer so the box can be pretty huge. I"m leaning towards a XXX or a D2, but the D2 only handles 900 watts rms. so ne recommendations will be helpful.

D2 will handle quite a bit more. ANd the XXX even more. You can't go wrong with either choice, but I prefer the D2.

that means very little. have you heard a XXX? ask David if he thinks it's an SQ or SPL sub.

If you're saying that it's more geared toward SPL than a Brahma, maybe, but it's hard to tell which one has better SQ without a side-by-side comparison. You can't go by what's on the chart.

brahamas are dual 1.3's if you didnt know. not the best choice for impedance. basketball

dd9500e series would be ur best bet if you wanted spl with decent sq

what do you mean?

The impedance changes dependent on the alignment, as well as frequency.
