Best sub/s at 400WRMS?

what? Just put 800 watts on one vvx? Lol
couldn't wire it to 800 watts with only one subwoofer, only 400 watts. I'll probably upgrade in the future, but i'm not sure how much power I could get out of my stock electrical system

The life expectancy on the subs, when ran at RMS, should be about, forever. As long as gains are set properly and nothing is being clipped. The Skar IVX, SSA Dcon, and Sundown E-series are all great options for good quality on a budget. There's also a Dayton HO, which are known to need an even smaller box. The nice thing with the Dcons is the higher sensitivity.

Nice to see you getting away from the Kenwoods, cus those are garbage. For a good indicator of lifespan on these other subs, I've been running my SA-10 on double or more the RMS for almost a year now and haven't had a problem.

Just for reference, what amp are you using?

Sweet, yeah I'd like to get a lot of life out of this SSA sub. And although I don't have much experience with subs I can tell it's not really quality, I mean for the price I paid it was good but I would like to go better than kenwood.

Ahhh the amp, didn't say before because I didn't know if I'd get trolled, but I'm using an Audioline - AZX800M amp. I got it at a good price, and if I wanted any more power I'd have to pay way over what I did. Also from checking reviews on the internet Audioline amps tend to be good quality they're just really underrated. Not sure what members on the forum think of this brand...
