Best SQL Sub

Type R has no SQ, totally serious, sounds like ***. No offense to your setup, but they do
lol dw non-taken, i know they sound like *** but they do hit them lows pretty well and can get quite loud for the money //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif anyways moving onto bigger better things soon as my next subs would either be 2 fi bl's or 2 aq hdc3s. if you have already noticed i like to keep a low budget and getting best bang for da buck //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

so none of you think a Nightshade can get into the upper 140 DB's??? I could care less if the sound was amazing at that level..Im not gona be listening to that daily. I want something that will sound good daily and do well when I decide to go compete. My type r's are doin pretty well as of right now but I know I can do better with something of higher quality. Shhit maybe I should just go with two 15" type r's

who said a nightshade cant hit high 140s?

off 1500 watts i doubt anything can hit high140s and still sound good for daily

If we're considering a Type-R to sound good, then a Nightshade will sound really good and have the capacity to get you into the mid-upper 140's (box, power, and install dependant of course).
Yea, Type-Rs sound OK at best, compared to my BMs my brother's Type-Rs sound like someone talking a wet shit //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I bet Nick does know some good shops. I can't guarantee but I think he may do installs on the side, but like I said I really don't know.

Upper 40 db range? That isn't SQ in the slightest man. Ultimate157 had an old 15 mag in his jeep and it hit 146.6.

I'm not sure what his 2 15 Mag's are hitting.

2 sub's hitting upper 140's could sound good.

1 sub hitting upper 40's probably won't retain as much SQ.

And under 1500 watts. I don't see upper 140's, sorry.

Go with an FI BL or something along those lines. It has more SPL than the Q, and you won't notice the SQ loss.
Woa, woa, woa... who stole my jeep, had it metered, and returned it all in one night?

I haven't fully tuned it yet, nor have I ever had it metered... but I will say that the 2 right now are barely moving and getting just as loud as the last one. both setups sealed. had 1 in 4 cubes sealed, 2 in 6 net

Oops. Sorry man if it wasn't you.

Correction: Someone hit a 146.6 db with a single mag in a jeep with a picture of a jeep as their avatar that looked very similar to ultimate's. My mistake.

My point was though, no matter the sub, I don't see upper 40's off only 1500 watts with one sub. Unless there is a lot of tuning involved.

Sorry Ultimate.

JL audio 12w7 can be had on ebay all day for under 500 shipped, in the right enclosure will do 140's. Its all install dependent.

I think that a Q would do it as well, and you can afford the 15"

2 15" IXL from mach 5 can be done for under $500 BNIB
