I noticed that most people doing sq competition will use 2 12's. Does a 10" woofer give less accurate frequncy slopes(10's seem to drop off steeply at the low end) or are the 12's used purely for the cone area to receive the maximum points which include hittin over 130db somthing like that. I want to get 1 10" but dont want it to be lacking in the low end and not keep up with those the high bass notes. I have had 2 different 10's and one of them got low but both would kill the high bass making the low bass seem very weak. Im not going for huge bass hear just somthing that is going to give a very balanced low and high bass. I have been looking at the Soundsplinter rl-i 10". But do yall thinks 12's in general sound better. Also I know the ported box basically solves this problem but I am wanting sealed due to space and my personal preference. Also in a reg. cab truck how could I figure out what my cabin gain is going to do to the frequency slope. I have had all of my systems in small truck could that be why the highs are so much louder?
