I still like the sound of my old Premier DEX M88 this is an oldie but goodie...I have Digital DEQ 7500 that goes with it...Not many people remember these from back in the day but they ran neck to neck with the Alpine 7909 ....as far as SQ goes...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

You cant go wrong with the DRZ9255.... I replaced my much beloved Eclipse-8443 with the Clarion unit and I must say..a night and day difference... The processing is sooo much better in the Clarions...96k sampling kinda helps... The only thing I would complain about the Clarion piece is you can not adjust individual channel level...i.e.. .bring the left tweeter down 2db as compared to the right....if you bring down the "hi" output it affects both channels... the time alignment is very good... the x-overs are great!!! Very good piece...

Oh...and like any Clairon...if you dont take good care of your cd's....then pass...its very picky

I remember it quite well and still have one collecting dust somewhere, but no DEQ. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

For the most dynamic yet transparent of my collection I would have to go ..

Adding video/DVD-A and still ultimate in flexibility..

Gets an honorable mention in this category of processing and simplicity..

I have had alot of good head units....my favorite by far

is the old Harmon/Kardon CH160 and 161 head units...

I used to record all my tapes off of a LP12 turntable ....miss that Analog sound

digital sound is so shallow

I had a Clarion DRZ and got rid of it because it will not play MP3 format

and ended up with the Premier 980..

very adjustable and the SQ is very good...I have 2 sets of 660gti comps

on my front stage..they compliment the head unit nicely

Rockford Fosgate has a good one from a while back. It has a platinum looking face. It's made by Denon I believe, but one of the better HU's. Found the model number.

Rockford Fosgate Platinum 2000 (RFX-8250ti)
