If you have a Pioneer dealer near you, go demo the 880PRS. Internet pictures do not do it justice and the flexibility and feature set is amazing for the price.

Basically what Denim said. I would add the 9835 however. Very nice Budget SQ H/U's. I've never personally messed with an 880 but I've heard it's a very nice head unit with nice flexibility.

You wont beat that for sound quality (and the ability to tweak the sound with onboard DSP) for less than $600.

i run a 7100. My only complaint is all the bling. Color screen, big shiny knob and a motorized face. Then again i love the style/simplicity of Nakamichi. It has a lot of internal processing, but the menus are cartoony to me. The black face lets it blend into my dash as well as it can. I'm not running active yet, but i will be in a few months.

My plan is to get a drz9255 if the 7100 doesn't get stolen. I'm willing to gamble with a $700 HU but not a $1400. By the way $200 is a killer price.

there is a 9835 for sale in classified's right now awesome SQ HEAD UNIT. i have the 9833 and love but had it for 4 yrs almost.

I thought he sold it? He had a thread over at Diymobile and I'm pretty sure it said sold. He may just have forgot to update it. Or I could be wrong. All are capable possibilities. lol.
