Best sounding sub @500w RMS???

Hey im looking for a great sounding sub with some good output at 500w RMS.

Preferably at 12" because i already have a box built but will consider a 10".

Guys got any suggestions?

im guessing you mean sq(sound quality) over spl(sound pressure level/loud)

EDIT: The SE12 can be had for under $150 from the right places and it's 600W RMS. I haven't installed mine yet, but from what i hear it's a great SQ sub and will get loud too.

If you want to get loud get a type r. Not so good on SQ but they bump.

RE SE has been popular lately. Wish I could hear one but that won't happen until I buy one.

Type R isn't a terrible choice, nor is the RSDC.

Honestly I would look into the Lethal Injection sub by Incriminator Audio. Now with the december black & blue sale you can get them for right around your price range. They can take a bit more power then 500w but still. I just got one in yesterday and it is a beastly sub for the price. (I got a 12", will be going in a sealed box of a Kicker ZX750.1)

boston G5 would do well with that amount of power. Small box size is a plus also.
