Kicker VS RE

Need some good opinions here. I can't decide what I want to put in my Honda.

I was thinking about getting either 2- 12" RE SE 4ohm subs or 2- 12" Kicker CVX 4 ohm subs. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

I have a Hifonics BXI1608D amp that puts out 1600 watts rms @ 1 ohm.

I want the loudest and best of the two. I would really appreciate some advice on the two or any others if anyone has ideas. I edthose because there reasonably cheap and popular brands.

In the other threads ive started it seems more people prefer the SE's or at least not many are saying much about the cvx's. Any pros or cons anyone?

from what ive read the cvxs are like round l7s if loud is all you want i would go with some cvxs but dont take my word for it

RE SE's will handle that power,

And sound really good doing it

I have never used the CVX's, but I have used L7's, So in theory they are fairly close to each other in performance (L7 & CVX I mean)

At any case it's install>equipment

I also have heard the same about CVX's being like the L7's. Heard there good for bass. I just dont know whats best though. What to do? They both sound equally good and close in price.

cvx = almost as loud as l7 and cleaner sounding.

SE wont be as loud but it'll sound better. CVXs will get pretty loud and wont be as clean on the fast paced stuff. its not bad though.

as long as you put the cvx's in at least a 2.0 cubes each,and enough power.that would be more than enough in that car !

RE SE's.

1. I like a balance between SPL and SQ which the RE offer's. An SQ sub that can get decently loud as well.

2. SE's can take a beating

3. I never really liked kicker so my opinion is also biased.

Had a CVX and it was decent for what it was.

I still perfer the RE SE over it. Got just as loud and sounded good, although different trunked cars. Mine was off 750rms on the CVX and his 1000rms on a 600rms SE, with gains low.

without a doubt id go with the RE's they will be loud and have better sound quality and you can get them for $99 right now.
