whats the best sealant to use when screwing down your subs so no air leaks through??
So you want to put something around the subs when you screw them down, try clear silicone.whats the best sealant to use when screwing down your subs so no air leaks through??
Yes, but that is why it is airtight. I have never put any seal around my subs before. If you are considering doing this I would screw the sub down and put a bead of clear silicone around the sub.will it stick down to where i cant get it back out if i need to? its carpeted all the way around the holes. i was using some clear silicone stuff
You sure it was silicone and not some kind of glue.it was like all sticky and sh!t. it was hard to get them back out
x2 That sounds like it might work. This might sound stupid, but try some of that foam weather stripping. It's got a sticky back so just stick it on there, when you tighten the sub down it should seal it up tight. And no sticky mess when you take the sub out.
lol thats not stupid at all ive had two diff subs that came with a gasket like thatThis might sound stupid, but try some of that foam weather stripping.
