Best Sealant???

will it stick down to where i cant get it back out if i need to? its carpeted all the way around the holes. i was using some clear silicone stuff
Yes, but that is why it is airtight. I have never put any seal around my subs before. If you are considering doing this I would screw the sub down and put a bead of clear silicone around the sub.

This might sound stupid, but try some of that foam weather stripping. It's got a sticky back so just stick it on there, when you tighten the sub down it should seal it up tight. And no sticky mess when you take the sub out.

lol thats not stupid at all ive had two diff subs that came with a gasket like that

Use 3m strip caulking- it comes in a box in strips, and you lay it down and put you sub over the top and it makes an airtight seal without making the sub next to impossible to remove. Strip caulking for teh w1n!
