Best Rap Group

I think AesopROCK is the music you hear right before you go to Hell.
Thats a matter of opinion sir. :p Actually the only album of his I listen to regularly is Labor Dayz. Labor Dayz is a great album though IMO. Only a few tracks that I'd consider weak, and even then they aren't that bad. Alot of strong tracks, but definintely a love or hate thing.

On an on topic note, I've been listening to Hiero for the past few days and their beats and rhyme style is really growing on me. Far from the greatest group but its some good stuff nonetheless. Third Eye Vision is a great album, and Full Circle has some great tracks on it too (Fantasy Island, Make Your Move, Heatish, Halo, Let It Roll, 7 Sixes).

yo fam katz talk about that cuz for some of them thats all they know/what they been around. growin up in surroundings that ain't open to good things is pretty discouragin. if tha only kat on ya block growin up wit dough is da local dope boy then who u think u gon look up to. and it won't help if ya home life is in the dumps so ur first instinct is to make money. so lyrics about what u see in the hood or how u lived is gonna b second nature. and i ain't sayin there aren't more topics that could b spoken but if it ain't broke don't fix it. people just tryin to get dough, i u haven't noticed real lyrical kats don't get tha big hype. so don't come on hear knockin tha black man, we get it enuff wit out even tryin.
why are you speaking like that? i'm black and proud of it, and there is no need to claim we're being held back when you're personifying the very image that you're complaining about. get ur shit straight before you even think you have the right to criticize someone about what you're blatantly telling them to do.

seriously mrk, gauntlet literally knows more about music, let alone rap, than everyone on this forum put together. believe me, debating with gauntlet, let alone about music, even moreso about rap, is a futile attempt. you will lose.

Yes, 3rd eye vision by heiro is pure genius....that cd still see's the most play time by far. there isn't honsetly a bad track on there.

any of you guys ever hear of sweatshop union??? (canadian eastcoast, battle axe records) very good shit....besides jmac who has prolly heard of them i'm assuming.

aint no one "knockin tha black man". people are just tired of the same crap over and over. like str8 said, kill this dude kill that dude. a lot of the rappers talk about drugs and killing and this and that, but the thing is, does every song on your album have to be about that? sure you experienced it, but do you have to tell everyone 1000 times the same story of how you sold drugs or shot a guy or whatever? i remember someone on here once said something like this "they talk about killin this dude or that dude on this track, then on the next track they talk about missing their homie who got shot down, and not even realizing there is a direct relationship between the two". think about it.
no sh!t that they wouldn't put songs with contrasting views who doesn't? yeah they talk about the same shit, all music does. it's all in how u put together the lyrics. all rapper from jay-z to snoop to luda have all talked about the same sh!t, but it's how they put their lyrics to the music, and what style of music(beats), that makes them different. so if the 50cents of the rap game can put out an album and sell an image don't knock em, cuz apparently millions think that it's worth buyin. now i think rap lyrics have taken a horrible turn i'll say that, bcuz of the 50cent type rappers, but ain't no one talkin bout anything different than NWA was talkin way back.

man who is u comin at like dat, do u know me? what image am i personifying? bcuz i use slang? i'm sorry do i need to speak with the king's English? the man was sayin that bcuz of rap muzik, his image of a black man was twisted. or did u fail to read that? get off yo damm high horse, i'm proud of my race too. but i don't appreciate that bcuz of some music artists that the image of an entire race iz f*cked. i've been thru bullsh*t bcuz of my skin so i didn't appreciate his comment. so step the f*ck off, don't get sh!t twisted.

you have won the hypocrite of the year award. what u see in rap videos is how u are speaking at the moment. hence, u are personifying ur anger. because you use slang? no. because it is honestly harder to type using deliberately misspelled words than it is to type how you were taught in school. so before you start getting mad at me because i called u out on it, think about why u are trying to sound black. do i try to sound black? no. am i? yes. am i proud of it? yes. has it gotten me into conflicts? yes. if all of the above are true, then why make yourself stand out in the crowd as the black guy instead of just the guy? honestly, without knowing anyone in real life, i could care less what race or *** they are. it seems however, u want people to know that you are black, as it is with the same rap artists that ur complaining the media is giving a hard time. so you have no reason to get mad at me. that's all.

First off, I'm what this country calls, a 'black man'. So why would I "knock" my own people?

And a lot of the rappers that say that they're killers, and on the block hustlin', are as far away from 'the block' as possible, in their mansions miles and miles away from the nearest ghetto.

And how many albums does it take to relay to your fans about the hard life that you came from? Like I said, there are rappers that are millionaires that still rap about slangin'. There are rappers that are millionaires that rap about how hardcore they are, and how tuff they are, and how much of a killer they are, yet they spooked to go anywhere without there bodyguards, lol.

Juvenille did a concert down here where I live, and people in the crowd starting shooting when he played his song, I think it's, Throw Ya Sets Up. He ran like a little B!TCH. But hold up, I though he was a headbuster? I thought he was 'bout that drama'? Why didn't he bust back? I thought Cash Money was an army? Better yet, a navy? LOL!

And your argument about how a person's surroundings will dictate what they rap about is only right to a certain degree.

Yeah, if the lifestyle you described is how someone lived, I'd expect them to talk about the hard times growing up. And I'd expect them to talk about the things they had to do to survive...

But that's TOTALLY different than.... F*ck n*ggaz, I'm a killa, I'll split ya wig, we some murderers, cross me and I'll kill ya, I'll kill ya whole family, ....

Time to check my crackhouse, B*tch you'll get left in a ditch, I'll blow out your brains, time for a 187, yall n*ggaz aint sh*t, I aint scared of no n*gga, don't get ya *** kicked, etc.

^That is something TOTALLY different.

Your argument is pretty thin..

what i c in videos is how i'm speakin? what?!? this is how i talk. ain't no fakin fam. so this is how i type. and is it really harder to type, when i'm usin less letters? and what is sound like a race jack@ss? now that sounds pretty ignorant. no one sounds black or white. and do i care if people no i'm black? no. i am what i am. so thats why i type this way.
