Best Rap Group

I noticed that quite a few people mentioned Bone Thugz N Harmony...

I couple of years ago, I would have agreed with that, or atleast to some extent

But when you actually listen to what they say, it's garbage. Their style is nice, but...

I'll use E1999 for my example,

85% of the songz on there say the same thing over and over and over. "Kill a n*gga this, kill a n*gga that". Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but uh...aren't they black?

Why is killing your own people something to be proud of, to the point that you constantly remind people that that is what you do on almost every song? Or killing any race of people for that matter? What happen to the days when that was the reason that you WOULDN'T want to be associated with the person/people claiming that?

Even on their Art of War cd on the track Vibe, that I like for the most part. I figure that track is one that you could just sit and, "vibe" to. Dance, chill, or whatever. But even songz like those aren't exempt from bullshit like this...

Who could it be,

nuthin' but them T. H. U. G's with artillery,

we come in peace?

n*gga please!

Freeze,

put'em on they knees,

and n*gga don't even breath,

cuz here come them warriors, killaz, destroyers,

Ya gonna die..... [chorus]

Wtf?

Now, if you your judging by what group can rhyme about killin' people the best, then they're up there.

I can see why parents don't want their children listening to that garbage. Not only is it destructive, it's WAY to repetative in songs these days.

It seems like the new goal in Hip-hop is to compete to see who can talk about murder, drugs, and destruction the best.

There are very few 'rappers' that I've heard that had any depth to their lyrics. LYRICIST, especially a group of them, are WAY to few and far in between.

Furthermore, they probably make the KKK proud. It makes their job a lot easier when we take pride in killing our own people..

...IMO //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

WOW so under ground rap is mainstream //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif wow

I guess nelly makes mix tapes lol cuz hes mainstream, dislike ny? Thats your opinion so itd makes sense you dunt no bout much ny group such as D block

Did any one get that?

Yeah, Nelly is so underground. Cam'ron is a great artist as well. You're right on man. You're laughable at best. But I suppose since you're from NJ you know real hip hop and we southern folks have no clue. I had it wrong all along.

All sarcasm aside, cracker or not, the fact stands that you need to learn how to type to convey your message. A bunch of jumble, letters, and marks dont make a sentence and if someone cant read what you're trying to say, then how the hell are we supposed to understand you?

What are you, a member of the Christian Coalition?

I could rattle off about a hundred rappers that do.

Gauntlet knows more about music than you could ever hope to learn in your life.

Take your complete album collection...times it by ten thousand...and you have his musical collection.

You will not win when it comes to arguing music with him...period.

Guantlet will beat you to it, this time, next time, everytime, all the time. try to go at it with him on something he doesnt have so much knowledge about, tryin to argue hip hop, and actually i should mention just about any other type of music with gauntlet isnt gonna get you nowhere except made fun of. oh and btw, clay aiken sold more albums than cam hahah. cause ya know clay aiken is "more respected around the way" hahah

Gangstarr, People Under the Stairs, Aesop Rock, Sweatshop Union, Heiroglyphics!!!!, Del the funkee homosapien, Swollen Members, outkast, old NAS. Wu-tang.

NWA

RUN DMC

Public Enemy

WU TANG

Beastie Boys

Cypress hill

of course my crew HOUSE OF PAIN!!!!!

Any Rap Group that made it after 1998 isn't really worth a crap..maybe OUTKAST is an exeption with a few others???

Real Hip Hop died in the late 1990's

EMINEM is Buggle Gum Rap...Always stunned me how he disses great old school artists that he listened to growing up like House of Pain, that laid the ground work for him. House of Pains success inspired DRE to sign a white artist...Eminem.... because DRE knew he could milk $$$ from the massive White audience with a white artist accepted by the Black audience..Eminem is like 33 years old...where was he when Rap was King...he's too late for real honors or respect

What are you, a member of the Christian Coalition?
If I was?

"I'm a killa" is so played out that it's annoying. Almost all I hear is 'if you do this I'll do that', or 'n*ggaz this, n*ggaz that'. That takes no skill, and no originality.

I'ma gansta

I tote choppaz all day

We some headbustaz

We some killaz...

Violence, violence, and more violence.

Oh wait, theres more...

Fuk n*ggaz

I don't need a b*tch

women are hoes, etc.

I'm not a morbidangel, but I can totally see where people are coming from that despise rap music.

If I wasn't a 'black' man, lived in another country, and had never seen a 'black' man, but I had access to the typical rap music from this country...I'd think that 'black' people are violent, dope dealing, murderers, that care about nothing other in life than rims and weed, and that get a kick out of killing each other and bragging about it.

I could rattle off about a hundred rappers that do.
Notice I said "That I've heard"

to each his own, that's just my opinion... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

yo fam katz talk about that cuz for some of them thats all they know/what they been around. growin up in surroundings that ain't open to good things is pretty discouragin. if tha only kat on ya block growin up wit dough is da local dope boy then who u think u gon look up to. and it won't help if ya home life is in the dumps so ur first instinct is to make money. so lyrics about what u see in the hood or how u lived is gonna b second nature. and i ain't sayin there aren't more topics that could b spoken but if it ain't broke don't fix it. people just tryin to get dough, i u haven't noticed real lyrical kats don't get tha big hype. so don't come on hear knockin tha black man, we get it enuff wit out even tryin.

aint no one "knockin tha black man". people are just tired of the same crap over and over. like str8 said, kill this dude kill that dude. a lot of the rappers talk about drugs and killing and this and that, but the thing is, does every song on your album have to be about that? sure you experienced it, but do you have to tell everyone 1000 times the same story of how you sold drugs or shot a guy or whatever? i remember someone on here once said something like this "they talk about killin this dude or that dude on this track, then on the next track they talk about missing their homie who got shot down, and not even realizing there is a direct relationship between the two". think about it.

If you were stupid enough to judge a race based on music you see on MTV, I suppose you're right.
