Best Ohm load?

I just got my two volfenhag 1000watt 12's. They run a 2ohm, 4ohm, or 8ohm load. Which would be the loudest? Then which would be safest. They run 500watts rms, I also just got a 1000watt 4ch amp. All I'm asking for is a little help.

Firstly, ohms are inaudible. They will not make a system any louder or sound any better. Your Legacy amplifier is likely only capable of a 4 ohm load. You will need to bridge your amplifier to 2 channels and then run it to the woofers at 4 ohms stereo.

If you look at your amplifier or in its owner manual, it should explain the correct way to bridge your amp- thus allowing higher power output at 2 channels.

4 ohm subs are your best bet with a 4 channel amp such as the one you have.

The amp also says that it's capable of a stable 2ohm load. But safety wise, do you think 4ohms would be best?
