Ive got 2 pairs of CDT "O" series 7" mids (aka the O7s)

These are most probably the best mids (or top 5) out of the industry today. As you see from the component sets, these are no jokes ranging $1,000-$2,500 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif . I got these planning on doing an extreme SQ install, but the project has turned south and now I am "stuck" with these mids.

unless you planned your ""extreme sq project" and it went south in the last day or so and you were able to to buy these mids in that time, you are lying about your "project car". I highly doubt you even have the speakers in your possesion yet.

bump for a guy with good feedback, some great mids, which i also own.......and some questionable ethics.

oh, and does that luxury liner sheez in your profile work well for road noise? i dont need to stop rattles, just roadnoise

Hmmm....roadnoise....not too sure, didnt mat the floors with it. We deadened the floors and it did job enough for us.

Yeah, its was an extreme project SQ car for our local shop Solar Controls, but we've decided to do all out SPL as it seems to attract more crowds and will most likely give us better coverage (unfortunately, Id much MUCH rather have an SQ car). I got these fairly decent from Ken, and thats why Im selling em cheap, im not taking as huge a loss as it may seem.

yep, Im a liar....thats why I have scammed millions of people in the past....

Anyways, you own a set of these? Looks like you own CF like meh own DD. How did u think they compare? I heard from John @ CDT that actually the CFs had a better midbass response (like 120-160hz area) then the Os....but pretty much got their *** handed to everywhere else, especially all of the midrange areas.

mine are in the mail, should be here in 2-3(4) days lol. the 6.5s would have a better frequency response in the upper ranges due to their natural resonant frequency, but from 120-160 i would think the 07s would still own. also keep in mind these were developed for an entire audiophile grade package, which usually includes a smaller midrange (o4) for higher frequencies, so their extension to higher octaves was less than essential in design. that being said i would imagine they would own the efs in nearly every aspect, particularly lower midbass. but if the guys at cdt told you otherwise........?? i have been told that in a solidly deadened door you could probably run these drivers full-range!

i'll post a review when i get mine

i might just have to jump on these if i can find a 4" mid and 1" tweeter to match. you dont have the complete set, just the mids?? if thats the case, its a little more than i can afford, but i might just splurge....

let me know if you have a complete 3-component set, otherwise i'll just hold out for some DLS Ultimate Iridium 6.3 or 8.3s...

I heard they can play down to 40hz in a infinite baffle and hold strong up around 8khz //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif , but they are SQ mids, and I guess they just didnt have the loudness that other series have in the lower end. Perhaps Im just mistaken (email was awhile back) and maybe I misread it.....ill have to go look again!

Its unfortunate we couldnt get to actually play with them ourselves, but we have to cut losses and put money back into some hardcore SPL.

Alright, well which model is it exactly? ES-07.2, ES-07.1, ES-07.4? or what? and does it come with the Cross overs, and tweeters?
