Best Enclosure for my HDC315?

It is going in my 2005 S40 and not wanting to go over 3.5cu ft. My question is to everyone that has experience with these, what will this sub perform the best at?

I do plan on porting it and listen to mostly rap.

I want it to hit the lows decent, but want it to be able to reach a nice SPL as well

So please any help would be great

i kno u said not over 3.5 but do 3.6 cu ft at 34 hz and u will be happy all day.

from what I have heard, the hdc3 tuning should be more in the 38-40 hz range

how much smaller then a s80 is it ?? i know my boss's wifes has some decent room in back..... id do a aq spec box first and move up or down from there ...............

the theory of the 38-40 tuning is cause the box will still play an octave down.... i may be miss wording it tho.....

basically tuned to 40 will still play close to 30 in the car due to the natural acoustics of the car....

ALOT SMALLER.....its not that my trunk is small, just the opening to that ***** is small....like 17in opening....\

And it doesnt say any exact specs for the box on the website. It does say however to put it in a 4.5 cu ft box but nothing about port or anything

that 4.5 is net and could turn into 6 gross really ez..... have fun building it into the trunk it might be your only option....

umm i dont remember off hand...something like 65^in of port area is what has been decided as perfect. i have like 64.75
