So, it's official -- PG rsd's = new forum mini boner?

Makes sense. For 90% of the people here, anything above 80Hz is simply "highs", so the cheapest thing that'll still make recognizeable voices will be a big hit.

Is it better to mix and match tweeter, x-overs, and a midrange from different companies or is that overkill? If not, where is a good place to find those items?

if you're going to do a full component set (including the crossover), it's best to stick with a single company (this is referred to as a "passive" setup). if you're going to go with an "active" setup, you can mix and match drivers. an active setup would be without a crossover. you would use external processing to set the crossover points in a setup like this.

I like the sound of the Focal tweets, I do not like how the driver handled the bass, especially for that price range but i guess that could all be taken care of with proper tuning

I'm not a fan of focal tweeters. But i think the rsd's can be beat for 400 dollars. Just nothing is coming to mind at the moment because i am so wowed by them lol. I'll sit around and think for you, and go listen to my rsd's

yes i did a review on them. they are very nice speakers, they sound amazing especially for the price. i'm not the first one on here to recommend them though. i bought them cause others on here had been suggesting them. have you heard them properly installed and properly powered?
