Best Buy's sneaky tricks.

I used some reccomendations from avsforum and come out well. However, I am trying not to focus on PQ anymore and just enjoying what I am seeing.
Got a link? or does anyone know any good places for recommends. Im not paying 400 bucks to calibrate ish

Edit: Forget what I said I found it

sound, absolutely.
if your tv is 1080p then of course youll see the difference, component pretty much maxes out at 1080i.......it works with 1080p, but it wasnt made for it.
Wrong, component video can handle 1080P perfectly, there is no reason it can't. On some sets or players the component even looks better at 1080P than HDMI does. As for sound, it should be identical as the digital bitstream passed through the HDMI cable is identical to that passed through an optical or coaxial digital cable.

Yes, the cable itself can do 1080 but as iamamp3pimp stated it wasn't originally meant for it to carry the 1080 signal. The average TV isn't able to do 1080 through a component connection. Most newer TV's can do it just fine though. My Samsung can do it just fine but my HDMI still looked better to me. Playing GTA 4 in the rain was where I could see a slight difference. I'm sure within the next couple year's you won't even see a component cable anymore it will all be HDMI.

then try getting 7.1 with digital coaxial.

when i said the sound i was thinking the analog that comes naturally with using component cables, the analog stereo.....not digital. optical is the best option, right next to HDMI as far as sound is concerned.

I have a samsung 61" rear projection 1080P HDTV bought it dec of 07 I need to have best buy come out and give it a tune up the picture is smiling at me. when the little news tickers at the bottom of the screen are there the side of them bows up creating a "SMILE" effect to the picture.

I have a 3 year warranty on the TV so those ****ers better come out and fix it.
